The worldwide burden of disease continues to be significantly influenced by vitamin deficiency, particularly in low- and middle-income nations. This cutting-edge Review objective was to update knowledge on current vitamin deficiency issues and public health measures to solve them. Pregnant women, children, adolescents, the elderly, and all of the more than 900 million undernourished individuals worldwide are at higher risk of deficiency than other life stages.
